Hello, my name is Andrew Johnson, welcome to my website. I have been in practice since 1984, specialising in a holistic approach that incorporates nutrition, herbalism and several other modalities. I consider someone as a whole, and I work in a flexible and collaborative way with people.
I create holistic programmes to suit the individual and so recommendations can vary enormously depending upon individual requirements, and they may include for example: recommended foods, restoring nutrient levels, detoxification, herbal mixtures, supporting body organs and systems, lifestyle changes, and techniques to manage stress.
My approach is also integrative which means I value a range of therapies and I can when appropriate work alongside other practitioners including conventional medical doctors, and I prefer to contact your GP and work with them if you are on any prescription medications.
I work with people on many levels and support the body-mind to move towards balance.
If you would like to discuss the possibility of working with me I offer a free ten minute chat which can be done either by phone, email or skype.

Functional medicine emphasises a definable and teachable process of integrating multiple knowledge bases within a pragmatic intellectual matrix that focuses on functionality at many levels, rather than a single treatment for a single diagnosis. Functional medicine uses the patient’s story as a key tool for integrating diagnosis, signs and symptoms, and evidence of clinical imbalances into a comprehensive approach to improve both the patient’s environmental inputs and his or her physiological function.
The Institute for Functional Medicine teaches health care professional’s how to apply these principles in practice through an intensive 5 day training course called Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice™.
I attended and completed the AFMCP™-UK training in London in 2012.
